| The ground rumbled, pausing for about ten seconds before another tremor could be felt. Large pillars of sands rose into the sky, only to fall back down to the ground below. Running was a hoard of creatures, what they were known to be as hollows. Another tremor, sand rising into the air and then raining down upon the fleeing creatures. They roared and cried, but it wasn't out of rage or aggression. Rather, it sounded like the cries were filled with...fear. One more tremor, followed by a panicked cry from a hollow that was just ahead of the others. Seeing the sudden rise of sand, the creatures began running in another direction. The fear had gotten to the point where they'd push each other out of the way, and trample on top of one another as they attempted to flee. One of the hollows, who seems to be leading the packed was immediately greeted by the cause of the tremors and sand rising. The others began to flee in a different direction, the leader of the pack thrashing and roaring in a panic. This stopped quickly when the cause of the tremors, a large hollow, took a chunk of flesh from the creature's neck area. It then took one more large bite from the left shoulder area before turning it's head. A mask which can only be described as a bull's skull was facing the direction of the smaller fleeing hollows. The body of the cannibal hollow began to crouch, soon shooting upwards and over to the pack of fleeing creatures.
Crashing into the land, creating a large wave of sand behind it as it angled it's claws to attempt to skid to a stop, the hollow leaped towards the new leader of the pack, devouring it before the hollows' eyes. With a roar, another decided to attempt to charge at him with it's hands replaced with scythes made of bones. As it charged, it hopped before leaping towards the bull hollow, only to receive a strong tackle to the ground by it. It's large claws pinned the hollow into the sands, nearly crushing it's bones if it hadn't been for such a soft cushioning surface. As usual, the neck was the first to be lost to the hollow's bite, and then the shoulder. As he ground the hollow's flesh and bones in it's mouth, it sluggishly turned to the rest of the pack that now consisted of three hollows. As the four creatures were locked in a stare, three of them eyeing the bull hollow as they slowly began to back away, the bull hollow began to make it's way over to the pack. His claws pressed heavy against the sand as it walked on all fours, creating large hand prints the size of a human's skull. Quickly, the hollow on the far left of the pack began to break away, hoping to get away safely if it separated from the rest of the group. However, pushing off on all four limbs, the bull hollow immediately tackled the creature from behind. Even as the hollow was faced down onto the ground, the predator hollow still went after the neck. However, it wouldn't go after the same shoulder position, picking the same usual side to eat from.
As it lazily chewed, the bull hollow turned to the remaining two hollows, watching them flee. "You're awake I see." spoke a male voice, the bull hollow turning towards another hollow that represented something like a bat. It was colored majority red, with silver markings on the edges of it's wings and ears. The bull hollow began to walk over to the bat hollow slowly. "Easy, easy. Friend, remember?" the bat spoke, slowly rising into the air. "Friend, see? See?" it repeated 'see' out of fear, knowing full well that if the bull hollow didn't recognize him, he'd be it's lunch. He watched as the hollow hovered where he was, the bull slowly turning away to look towards the fleeing hollows. However, it lost sight of them, looking from it's left and to it's right. "No worries," spoke the bat, the bull watching as it flew in front of him, "I can find 'em for you. But in exchange, I want to talk to you about something." The bull continued to stare as the bat flew higher into the air, over into a direction. It hesitated before marching in that direction slowly, and then breaking into a run on all fours. The bat looked down to the following bull, chuckling before speaking. "You're pretty mindless when on an empty stomach!" The bull didn't respond, continuing to follow the bat. "No response... He must be really starved..." Turning forward, the bat flapped it's wings twice before continuing it's gliding. "Can't blame him though. He's been asleep for months now. I'm surprised he can run that fast after sleeping that long." With another flap, the bat quickly soared across the night desert with the bull following right behind it.

| The hollows that were running from the bull creature had finally stopped running, looking around cautiously before walking. The two followed each other, constantly stopping to heck around themselves for the predator. As the traversed the desert, they came across multiple small hollows that looked like rats and other tiny creatures from the world of the living. They devoured these hollows as they continued walking, finally stopping for a lunch break apparently. They chewed up the unfortunate creatures, and lied on the sandy floor, in hopes that they can get some sleep. However, one of them heard a sound in the air, raising their heads suddenly. The other looked over and rose their head also, spotting a hollow that resembled a bat floating overhead. In fact, it appeared to be circling them in the air. They simply assumed that the bat thought they were going to hit the bucket soon, and began to move once again in the desert before it attempts to eat them. Then, a light tremor was felt by one of them, their heads turning extremely quickly to look behind them. The other stopped to look at them, turning as well. They saw nothing but a white dust cloud in the distance, both of them eyeing in cautiously. As the cause of the dust cloud came closer, it hit both of them simultaneously that it was the bull hollow running after them. It leaped into the air, crashing about fifty feet away from them, breaking into a run towards one of them. The two ran in different directions, the bull giving chase to one of them. The hollow ran on two legs, which was significantly slower than the bulls four legged run. It tackled the hollow successfully, pinning it with both claws pressed on the shoulder joints. One strong chomp to the neck, and another to the shoulder, and it was fed properly. To the bull hollow, all that running was always worth it when it bite into it's victim.
As for the other hollow, the bull turned to look for it, already spotting the bat hollow circling above head and flying in multiple directions. The creature ran to that direction, jumping every time it had to run up a sand dune to save time. As it jumped once more, it had planned to crash on top of the hollow. However, it leaped out the way, the bull hollow smashing into the ground. It's eyes were still fixed on it's prey as it continued to slide in it's direction from the momentum, sand flying in said direction. It began pushing into the hollow's direction, constantly leaping and attempting to crash into it. Oddly enough, it almost knew where the bull hollow would land, thus it would move out of the way. "That one's a pest, huh?" commented the bat hollow as the bull hollow breathed heavily. "Perhaps it's your shadow that's alerting them?" The bull hollow looked down at it's claws, staring for a moment. It's blue glowing eyes narrowed as it rose a sandy claw, brushing it's horn as if polishing it or sharpening it. "Oh, going to skewer it?" the bat spoke as it watched the two creatures curiously. The bull, at first slow, made it's way towards the hollow. It then began running on all fours, gaining speed. Finally, it lowered it's head, angling it's right horn for the hollow's back. As it got mere inches from it's back, it thrusts the horn through the hollow. It then began to attempt to push the thrashing hollow off it's horn, failing with each attempt. "I got it!" the bat commented, causing the bull to remain still. The bat clung onto the horn with it's feet, using it's head to nudge the pierced hollow off the bull's horn. The bull waited patiently for the bat to leave said horn before pinning the hollow and taking his usual two bites from it.
As it finished it's meal, it crossed it's arms and laid it's head on them, eyeing the hollow that had stopped moving. "You know," the bat spoke, clinging to the bull's other horn, "I never figured out why you only take two bites from your meals. Don't you want the rest?" The bull threw it's head forward gently, careful not to send the bat flying, as if gesturing for him to look over to the bitten hollow. He did so, raising it's head in awe. The bitten hollow was slowly regenerating already, the bat chuckling. "I see, so you feast on them, but only so much to keep them barely alive!" The bat looked over to the bull curiously, it's yellow eyes staring curiously. "Is the neck and shoulder your favorite parts?" A light grumble was heard from the bull hollow. "Ah, so that's why... And what do they do when they realize they've been spared?" The blue eyes from the hollow glanced at the bat before looking back at the wounded hollow. It watched as it slowly stood up, looked around, and backed away quickly from the bull. It threw it's head in a direction, it's blue eyes looking in the distance. The wounded hollow turned, seeing all the previously eaten hollows with regenerated limbs standing in the distance. It then turned back to the bull hollow as it eyed him silently, the wounded hollow slowly backing away and inching over to the once eaten pack. "Interesting... A hollow that doesn't kill it's prey completely. You are aware humans don't do that, yes?" The hollow's eyes looked up to the bat hollow, a light grumble being heard, before looking back to the pack. The members of the pack waited for the last member to arrive before they all began walking away casually. "Ah, but about that talk," the bull hollow rose to stand on all four of it's limbs, watching the bat fly off the horn and hover in front of it's face. "Could we go to your territory for that?" A light grumble was heard as the bull began to turn away and march forward in a direction. The bat floated for a moment before clinging it's feet to the bull's spiky spine, it's brown mane/hair swaying in the desert's cold wind. What the bat hollow wanted to talk about with the bull was unknown to it. However, as usual, it was willing to listen to a friend in need.
